Often we
talk about legacy as a technology that maybe well past
its best before date. Today we pay tribute to legacy,
and in particular context of a dear friend, colleague
and business partner - Craig Gluck. |

Sadly,
Craig passed away much before his time and certainly not
past his best before date. In thinking of Craig's legacy
we pay special tribute to the foundation of DBI
Technologies, the late Friday afternoons playing MTN
Trivia and the banter around the table that would lead
to what became the early foundation of DBI to Craig's
intuition for finding better, faster, simpler ways to
code that inspired his creativity for building component
software. |

Craig was
fiercely independent and competitively stubborn, just
the qualities you want in a tech entrepreneur. From
Craig's early days of programming video games, his
passion for music - garage bands to studio bands and
learning to be a sound engineer, to certainly the thrill
of a challenging bike ride. Craig was irreverent when it
came to corporate norms and could be, and usually was,
brutally honest to a flaw about fundamental things. |

Being
able to hit the road for tech conventions were
highlights for Craig. Sitting in boardrooms with
corporate executives negotiating inclusion of DBI
controls into their development platform offerings, to
introducing all-in-one controls for hundreds of Visual
FoxPro developers in Miami. Hosting various events at
conferences generated stories that live on today. |

Craig
often found a sideline adventure to bring some
additional fun into his life - always wanting to make a
buck at the same time, Pig and Heffer Tee Shirts, for
example, brought a smile to Craig's face and a rolling
chuckle poking fun at other local entrepreneurs.
Personal life was his own but when it came to family,
close friends and fraternity brothers, he was proud and
spoke often with great fondness. |

Craig's
legacy will live on in many forms and prominently right
here. |
